The connection to generations past is reflected in the new location of James-Ben: Studio and Gallery Art Center in Greeneville’s downtown historic district. Already enjoying its new home within the Crescent School #201, which is the old band room for the former elementary school, the young people of Greeneville were taught from 1925 to 1981. We were recruited to come from Franklin, TN to be a center for the arts community, to interface between our arts community and Greene County at large and to provide arts employment by merchandising the spectacular works created by the remarkable artists and artisans in Upper East Tennessee.
