Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On its own, Shakespeare Garden falls into the nice-but-not-worth-planning-a-trip-around category. If you are planning a day (or even two days) exploring Golden Gate Park - and I highly recommend you do! - Shakespeare Garden definitely adds to the experience. Stop by. Wander around a bit. Spend some quiet time appreciating the beauty and the symmetry - can’t help my OCD tendencies, you know…

Living in SF, I've been here many times over the years, but I stopped in today before dinner and it was just so damn lovely, sitting on a bench, some couples and a couple of kids hanging out, nice lighting, good smells, peaceful environment, all in a literary-botanical atmosphere next to the cool California Academy of Sciences.

This garden sits right next to the California Academy of Science on the Western side. It is a quaint little spot even in the rain. The only fault I could find is that there was no pathway from the entrance area to the Shakespeare bust unless it was in the area roped off due to replanting. I think on a sunny day it would be a lovely place to sit under the shade of trees.

Simply this is a pretty English garden with an assortment of quotes from the plays and sonnets. Roses are lovely.

There isn’t much here: a small park with a wall, in which a bust of Shakespeare is central, with three bronze plaques on either side carrying quotations from his works dealing with vegetation in some way. Can’t say whether the plaques give a complete account, but they must get close. Spending a few minutes in this pleasant garden will suffice unless you want to read a book there.

Surrounded by famous features this garden largely goes unnoticed however it is worth a few minutes. Featuring a statuette at one end and a nice arrangement in the middle it is well worth the trip.

I found this place by accident, and was so happy to do so. It's quiet, beautiful, and feels secluded from the city. It was nice to see all of the Shakespeare quotes among beautiful flowers and plants. If you are already in the park, you should swing by and have a picnic.

This garden is simply one of the most peaceful places I"ve been. It's the kind of place that I would visit all the time if I lived in SF.

It's Shakespeare's garden. And thru the beautiful gate are nice benches and a location where one of very few busts of Shakespeare is displayed.
