I went there for the Golden Gate Bridge view. The angle of view is very nice and the bridge is nicely lit in the afternoon. Still it is a cool beach where a lot of people hang out. The closer you go to the side...More

Sunset is a good time to be at the beach to watch the sun set in the west. You also get good views of the golden gate bridge and these are from the ocean side (most pictures are taken from the city side)

Could be on the cooler side, but it is not unusual to get warm, sunny weather well into the fall (TIP the fall is the best weather season in SF). That said, it could also rain. I have been on Baker Beach in sun, fog, and rain (I frequently included Baker Beach in my weekend long runs) and I have enjoyed it in all weather. On average, you odds for decent weather on Nov 4th are good.
