This is an historical building in front of the Powell Street Cable car turnaround station. The lobby is very grand and impressive. The elevators have an old classical design. There some shops here at the ground floor, otherwise nothing else special.

Classic old building at the cable car turnaround, quite impressive as an early skyscraper. Ho-hum stores at street level.

Great old historic SF building. It survived the 1906 earthquake. In the 70's there was a five and dime store on the first floor. They hired a 'speiler' (an English man who moved from department selling a single item to a crowd using great energy)...More
