Glad it was included on our 3 day Go San Fran card, as normally it would have been expensive for what it was. But still interesting and fun. Good place for the kids on a rainy day. Looks tired and run down compared to other...More

This aquarium was pretty small compared to the other aquariums I have visited in other countries/places. There was only 1 "tunnel" where you can see underwater creatures. There's a place with otters that was practically the highlight of my visit. Other than that, it was...More

The Aquarium of the Bay is not huge, but there are a few interesting exhibits. I loved the colorful fishes and the touch pool with the baby bat rays. It is really special to touch the soft skin of them. The tunnel tank with the...More

Considering the location and the tourist crowds I would have expected something a bit larger here. I figure that a good visit would consume about 2 hours time. While initially I found it to be a bit pricy they do honour other museum memberships and...More

I try to visit the aquariums of every city that I visit and felt rather underwhelmed by the Aquarium by the Bay. It's a bit small and my husband and toddler viewed the entire thing in less than an hour. Good for a research/ educational...More

It cost $50 for my husband and I to visit and we saw everything in 30 minutes. The otters were adorable and definitely the highlight. The underwater tunnel was underwhelming. Would not recommend wasting your money.

My husband and I are big aquarium geeks. We love us a good aquarium. We had such high hopes for the Aquarium of the Bay, but our expectations were definitely not met. From the employees who have personalities of coiled rattlesnakes or a dead fish...More

I parked off site and walked (less than 5 minutes). Ended up being less than $10 which is probably the best/safest option.
