Best quality farmers' market in San Francisco. Farmers bring their fruits, vegetables, dairy, honey, and other delicious products to the Ferry Building on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Come on Saturday for the big farmers' market which winds around the back of the Ferry Building. This farmers' market is a firm favourite with foodies and local chefs. Credit cards are not... More

Even on a recent rainy Saturday, the market was bustling. Inside, the customary line stretched for Blue Bottle coffee and customers bought breakfast pastries from vendors like Biscuit Bender and Miette. The fresh-from-the-farm produce was worth wading through sometimes deep puddles, as was the porchetta sandwich from Roli Roti, stuffed with succulent pork and topped with a mound of arugula.... What a mecca for all things edible and wonderful. Fruits, veggies, pasta, bread, meats, cheeses, got it all. Sad part is, you want to buy one of everything but if you fly in to San Fran, it's hard to take home the great fruits and veggies. And walk across the street to the booths set up at the end of... Hands down, this is my favorite place to be in the City. If you're a diehard foodie, lover of the most obscure but delicious produce, or someone who just loves to take cool food photography, then this place is a must-do in San Francisco. You will find every manner of luscious fruits, colorful vegetables, tasty sauces, vibrant flowers and more... More

I like to visit farmers markets in different cities to see the produce and cuisine. This one is large to walk through and offered a variety of vegetable, fruit, cheese, olive oil, and meat. It is nicely placed at the Ferry Building, with a view of the water. I enjoyed my Saturday morning walking through this farmers market, it is... More

Nice location with selection of local international cuisines to taste as well as local produce for sale from fruit and veg to hot sauces etc. Well worth a walk around on the bay waterfront by the ferry terminal and shopping centre

A bloody great place to shop for food and eat, but for some tossers, it's bloody expensive. I met her there.

If you are going to San Francisco, be sure to plan your trip to be there on Saturday morning. The farmer's market at the Ferry Building has to be one of the best in the world. The Ferry Building itself has assembled some of the best restaurants, shops, and attractions in any indoor setting. On Saturdays the Building is completely... More
