Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This definitely is one of my favorite places to visit on a Saturday morning. Fresh fruit, veggies, spices, and pastries galore. It’s a great place to enjoy a breakfast, a savory treat, or additional shopping inside the Ferry Plaza building. Definitely a magnet for foodies and photographers!

It was quite a long walk along the Embarcadero to the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market from where our cruise ship docked. Unfortunately, vendors were closing up on Tuesday early afternoon, when we arrived. Too bad that we didn't go earlier. Instead, we checked out the Ferry Building shops.

We live in Marin County north of the Golden Gate Bridge but go here all the time as I used to live in the city.

I meet friends there, take my husband and college grad son there to get flowers, my veggies and Schiabica's California oils, especially their Mediterranean Medley!

Then we have lunch at one of our favorites, Hog Island Oyster and get spices at Stonehouse California Olive Oil and Acme bread inside the Ferry Building.

I take our dog when we can sit outside. How cool to see a guy recently propose there with his and her family. Lot's of applause!!

Outdoor market. We didn’t see light outside that we really want to buy. We did up going inside to find more to eat.

It was still A bustling spot on a Saturday, but then that would be expected.

Lots of places to pick from inside to eat until your hearts content.

I’ve travelled the world and always head to local markets. This one holds its own amongst the best. Located centrally, you can be sure to find the most beautiful produce in the area. Whether you’re after fliers, meat, seafood,
Mushrooms, strawberries, peaches, cheese, vegetables or more, then this is the place to come. Plenty of take away eateries as well, something for everyone. Disability access is good. Take your time to stroll the stalls and chat the the stall holders. Well worth a visit.

This Farmer’s Market is located across the Ferry Building and had very interesting stalls which were selling varieties of produce. Certainly worth visiting.

The Ferry building has nice restaurants and for eample wine bars to enjoy your time. The farmer's market is on Tue, Thu and Saturdays. Shop for fresh greens and others groceries and enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants, or go for a picnic outside on the plaza!

If you are going to San Francisco, be sure to plan your trip to be there on Saturday morning. The farmer's market at the Ferry Building has to be one of the best in the world. The Ferry Building itself has assembled some of the best restaurants, shops, and attractions in any indoor setting. On Saturdays the Building is completely surrounded outside by farmers and restaurants and bakeries and coffee vendors. You will find every fruit, vegetable, cheese, meat, seafood, sauce, spice, baked good, soup, olive oil, or other food item you can imagine. The chefs of all of San Francisco's finest restaurants are at the market circulating with their carts. Celebrities are in the crowd incognito and families with dogs are abundant. Twenty to thirty local restaurants set up field kitchens and serve every item you could want for breakfast or lunch. Street musicians play, and the overall hubbub is festive and fun. Don't miss it! You will want to return again and again. Our adult children visit there almost every weekend they are in town.

On a Saturday morning this place is heaven.
Ate so many delicious things its hard to remember them all.

The vegetables are better than I have seen anywhere in Florida.
I would come back to San Francisco just for the market.

I wish it was open every day as I would have come back to eat every day. Wished I could have taken some of this home with me. I did take oranges, carrots, bread and tomatoes back. Was sad when we finished them all.

Definitely hit this place up early in the morning, by 11 am its a mad house.

My sister and I breezed through the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market, on our way to the Ferry Building across the street. The jewelry and paintings of San Francisco Landmarks were fun to browse, but no purchases this visit.
