If you want to see how the 1% of the 1% live, check out the Sea Cliff neighborhood in SF. It is fun to open your Zillow app and see the millions each home is worth as you stroll down the streets. Easy walk to Lands End as well.

My relative has his house near this beautiful area. Rather than do the normal tourist stuff, he took me to this beautiful sea-side enclave which backs onto the Bay, a park (the Presidio) and with iconic Golden Gate views.
Have never been here and this turned into a walking tour guided by a local, and a real eye-opener. Here, million dollar turn-of-the-century row houses merge into multimillion dollar private estates which have exclusive views of the Pacific Ocean inlet into San Francisco Bay.
It's a small glimpse into the life of the wealthy (eg entertainer Robin Williams) and their exclusive homes in the cul-de-sacs which characterize the Sea Cliff. The architectural design theme is definitely Mediterranean style.
The walk was capped off with pictures on the beach at Sea Cliff with the Bridge as backdrop, and a hike back through the Presidio (the remnants of a decommissioned Marine Base) which has been reworked in amazing ways eg the former military houses have become rental housing for mid-income government professionals and workers; the former military hospital has been redeveloped as Yuppie apartments.
Capped off with a short uphill trek through a small creek reserve with ancient gnarled pine forest (the Presidio Trails) which is commemorated today as the place where the Spanish first landed and claimed San Francisco as a colony.

We visited Seacliff because our family are huge Robin Williams admirers. His home is here. We went just so we could say we walked past his home.

It's fun to walk around or drive around this very posh neighborhood where many of the expensive houses have perfect views of the ocean. It's a bit remote and definitely very exclusive, but open to the public. My niece was very impressed.

This is one of the most exclusive neighborhoods in San Francisco, yet you can drive through here or park your car and walk. Big houses that cost a fortune. And they are valuable since many have terrific views of the sea.

We walked from Land’s End to the Golden Gate Bridge and walked through Sea Cliff and China Beach. It’s a stunning neighborhood and quiet beach with fantastic views. We really enjoyed this park of our walk!

China beach is a small and quiet beach hidden in the seacliff neighbourhood. When driving through the Sea Cliff neighbourhood you won't expect such a beach here. From China Beach you have nice views at the Golden Gate bridge.

This neighborhood is the poshest one in the city. Lots of cool looking homes with gorgeous views. The beach is great too.

We walked this from Golden Gate Park to the Golden Gate Bridge and loved it. Very long walk but wonderful views and history a long the way. Lots to see and visit. If you like to walk and get away from the crowds, I highly suggest it. Lands End has a great map of the entire walk.

Its good location to take picture of bridge. Its beach is ok. There is enough car park place. To get there you may need a car.
