Combined this with our trip to Alcatraz and well worth a visit. Very tranquil with a tour around the Island, beautiful views of San Francisco and Sausalito, very relaxing and gorgeous wildlife too.

We had this trip included with Alcatraz, expensive. interesting history but not much to do other than the 1 hour trolly tour. Takes a few hours out of your day. Very peaceful though.

Enjoy the ferry ride over with your backpack of lunch/snacks & water. The trail affords amazing views and provides the lovely sounds of nature.

Pier 41. I am not sure about Oakland but I think you need to purchase a ticket to Angel island at Pier 41.

Yes. Nice place to camp in or near San Francisco. Check Reserve America punto com, or use search engine to find site. I tried to include URL, but site would not allow it. Hope this helps

The Tram we rode was designated for the people that were part of the Alcatraz tour only. Granted that tour is seasonal for the summer months and maybe the Trams are used for other reasons outside of that time. But all the... More
