Angel Island is definitely a recommended park to visit. Personally I find it a more satisfying and worthwhile visit compared to Alcatraz although Alcatraz has its own charm.

Only a $10 ferry ride from Pier 41, Angel Island is an unspoilt paradise. Amazing walks, especially the 2 hour hike to 700ft Mt. Livermore. Incredible views of the San Francisco Bay.
