The communication overall was poor. They didn't have a bus to take us to a few location so they booked an uber for us. With a baby and no car seat it made challenging. The times changed which was inconvenient. They also didn't give us a tour of Alcatraz but circled around it. The experience of Muir Woods and the... More

Loved the Gray line hop on bus in San Fransisco. Great tour guides - love soda pop in particular. We saw so much of San Fransisco. Recommend buying a 2 day pass with night tour and trip to Sausalito. Night tour was amazing! Incredible views from treasure island and great tour guide. Also do the included trolley loop to lands... More

Gray Line offer many different tours but we won't be taking another one. Their time keeping is sloppy, we saw lots of dissatisfied customers, the waiting involved gets tedious and the staff is very lacklustre. There are better alternatives.

Booked Sausalito and Muir Woods tour for 9am departure, 3 months in advance. 9am bus filled up, told to come back for 10am bus. Came back as advised, bus didn't arrive until 10.30 and again filled up before I could get on. Next bus apparently at 11.30 but as they were still selling tickets for that tour, and there were... We had scheduled for the Muir woods tour and called the night before to confirm pickup at our hotel. The next morning we were on the curb 15 minutes before pickup but the bus never came. I called the office and was put on hold for 10 minutes and then disconnected. I called back and again was put on hold... More

Poorly organized: read the fine print. The tour says the address is 2627 Taylor street, but the voucher indicates a pick up location of 2800 Leavenworth St. but wait, that's just the hop on site, where you will be shuttled to a union square site, where you check in and hop onto the actual bus that will take you across... My husband and I scheduled a tour of San Francisco by bus and boat. After following the instructions for calling the day before to reconfirm and was told where we would be picked up, time, etc., when we were picked up and got to the office to check in, we were told there wasn't enough of people for our city... Worst experience ever! Calling this a "tour" is silly because it's just transportation to and from Muir Woods. Nothing else. We got on the bus with 34 other people only to be told that only 22 could go to Muir Woods because there were two vans to take us there. We waited for another hour for the vans to come... More

We booked the 17 mile drive tour with Monterey and Carmel. We were told to arrive at 7:30 for a tour that departed at 8am. We arrived on time and checked in. At 8:30 we are all still sitting there. No explanation or apology for the delay. When myself and another guest asked to use the restroom, we were told... More

I had booked online via Viator ( a lower cost than booking directly through Gray Line) and because it was an afternoon tour, there was no pickup from our hotel, so we headed toward their office, as per their website instructions. When we arrived at the office, it was locked up and a note directed us to their new address,... More
