Since 1978, Great Pacific has been a special tour company. Founded on the belief that a vacation should be relaxing and special, Great Pacific has always provided affordable elegance and excellence.

We have always used mini vans, specifically customized for touring.

Our guides have always gone the extra mile to make your trip as interesting and pleasant as possible.

That's why people often come back again and again to take our tours - a perfect way to discover the San Francisco Bay Area.

So, next time you are coming to see San Francisco, give Andy, Tom, Joel, or any one of the other folks at GPT a call, and let us show you this wonderful place we call home.

My friends and I had just got off the ship, which was late so was not sure if we would make our appointment for the tour, since we had to get a cab to the company. I called Aija at the office and she sent someone to pick us up and let us leave our luggage there until we got... More

Because I was only In San Francisco for a short stay I thought the best way to see the city was to go on a tour and this company didn't disappoint. Jim our driver was brilliant and had excellent knowledge of the city. We stopped in some great locations and learnt a lot about it as well. The tour lasted... More

We really enjoyed the ride with 7 other passengers to 3 wineries. One in Napa and Two in Sonoma. Pick-up at our hotel was on time and we stayed on track throughout the day. The Larson family winery was our favorite with the beautiful morning sun and goats/dogs on the property. WInes were very good everywhere! Super relaxing and Jim... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour. The price was good for all that we got : 13 different wine tasting, a good healthy lunch (the tomato bisque was worth it), a good guide (Buddy) who gave us interesting historic notes and a good music selection on our way back. We traveled in a comfortable small van and the... More

We had originally booked a tour with a different company but they did not have enough people so they coordinated our tour with Great Pacific. Jim was a great guide and we were able to listen to his commentary and ask questions along the way. We spent just over an hour at Muir Woods and about 30 min at Sausalito.... More

We enjoyed our tours: Muir Wood, City tour, and wine tasting and lunch tour. We were picked up at our hotel and rode in a very comfortable van. The maximum number on the tour was 15. Our guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. Once you entered the van you were introduced to everyone and immediately felt like friends. I would... More

In Oct. 2014, our group of 9-12 from Iowa booked this company for 2 days of private tours. Working with Onja in the office and Cynthia as the tour guide, we feel they did an excellent job of showing us around their beautiful city and countryside. We enjoyed the Carmel/Monterey 11 hour tour and also the all day City/Muir Woods... More

We were picked up at our hotel ON TIME. We had booked the luxury bus that seats about 15 but there were only 4 of us on the tour. Our tour guide was great as well as the tour itself. Lunch and wine tasting were included and all were fabulous. We would definitely use this tour company again. We used... More

Great to be picked up at your hotel and not having to then be transferred to another larger bus. We travelled in a comfortable 13 seater passenger van. I did the City tour which took about 3 and a half hours. Other tours offered are Muir Woods Sausalito, Wine Country and Carmel Monterey. We covered the Palace of Fine Arts,... More

we did this city tour on 19/10, there was a combination of Saudis, Germans, and us from Scotland, The tour guide was a chap called buddy and he was very informative and kept his cool even when confronted by a slightly stoned & aggressive cyclist, Good photo stops at twin peaks & the Golden Gate Bridge, Top notch

Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighbourhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
