Boudin has a really cool feel, right on the water, bread made in house, and surprisingly affordable in an expensive area. If you're visiting the wharf, don't pass it up!

I've eaten here for breakfast and dinner with only two minor disappointments. For breakfast: Belgian Waffle. It is a bit pricy but the waffle is quite large, warm and fresh. Topped with whipped cream, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, it's heaven. Bacon and Cheese English Muffin...More

Stopped here for clam chowder and a pizza for lunch. The pizza was thin crust, wood fired in the oven, and very good. The soup in a bread bowl was disappointing as it was mostly bread, not much soup. Probably no more that 8 ounces....More

We enjoyed breakfast here everyday! The breakfast burritos and the muffin sandwiches were delicious! The staff weren't the friendliest, but the food and fresh baked bread were worth both the wait and the service!

We didn't eat here but it was fun to walk through the store and watch in the window at the bakers making the bread. Their sourdough is amazing.

Always have to make a purchase here. This time I brought home some bread and tried to carry-on canned chowder across the border and had to give it up, then found it after I passed security. I'll know next time.

What a great place to shop and eat clam chowder in a freshly baked sourdough bread bowl. Of course, we had to purchase sourdough bread to take home. Don't have it sliced because the bread doesn't last as long. Their shop has great spices, cookbooks,...More

Not only is the sourdough tasty, but the small museum exhibit is well worth the stop. You get to learn about the history of sourdough and San Francisco, see the bread-making in action, and get samples of the bread. We had a great onsite docent,...More
