We recently viewed the Pierre Bonnard exhibit along with Raphael's Woman with Unicorn. Both were excellent and easily seen. Outside sits the Thinker by Rodin and further outside and great views of the Golden Gate Bridge and parts of San Francisco.

Located in the center of Lincoln Park, the Legion of Honor is a finely proportioned neoclassical pile housing a collection of diverse art treasures. The location is some distance from other attractions in San Francisco, but well worth the 7 mile trip from Fisherman's Wharf....More

The current exhibit of Pierre Bonnard's work is fabulous. Well executed display of all periods of Bonnard's paintings. Several canvases from the D'Orsay in Paris.

We went to the Museum specifically to compare and contrast the Pierre Bonnard Exhibit with one we had seen in the summer of 2015 at the Musee D'Orsay. We love his work. We found the Legion of Honor's a much more pleasant experience, in large...More

Set overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge with views back to downtown San Francisco, this is a great venue. Lovely Bonnard show on third leg from Paris and Madrid. Admission is dear with a 25% premium at the weekend. Cafe is outrageously expensive too. Security guards...More

It's. Eden there for a while so the crowds are not as bad as when it opened. I'd recommend during the week if that's an option. I was there in a Sunday and even then the crowds were not too bad. I'm guessing a weekday... More
