This was my favourite part of the trip. The views are lovely but it’s not a busy part of the city. We walked to the park, obviously the painted ladies are lovely but the houses around them are even better.

You can get some of the best views of the city from here, The Painted Ladies are just across the street, the downtown with Transamerica Pyramid is in the background. The park itself is family and tourist friendly and has a public toilet.

What a very nice surprise! We'd got off the hop-on/hop-off bus, did a long walk through Haight-Ashbury, had lunch there and kept walking. We came across this little park. Fabulous views and the 5 Painted Ladies are brilliant!
