The story is the parents lived on the original house and had seven daughters. So the father bought each daughter a house all in a row. Some think this is the “Full House” house. They are not.

This was my favourite part of the trip. The views are lovely but it’s not a busy part of the city. We walked to the park, obviously the painted ladies are lovely but the houses around them are even better. If you love architecture then...More

San Francisco has a few famous iconic images to showcase to the world. The Golden Gate Bridge is probably the most famous image. The Painted Ladies is another.

I believe most tourists come here for the Painted Ladies, the seven colorful Victorian houses in a row. Besides that, this square seems to be where locals come to walk their dogs or spend their evening with kids. The square is right on a small...More

You can get some of the best views of the city from here, The Painted Ladies are just across the street, the downtown with Transamerica Pyramid is in the background. The park itself is family and tourist friendly and has a public toilet.

What a very nice surprise! We'd got off the hop-on/hop-off bus, did a long walk through Haight-Ashbury, had lunch there and kept walking. We came across this little park. Fabulous views and the 5 Painted Ladies are brilliant!

They don't allow tour busses so I would assume they won't allow a large van. There are signs posted along the streets.
