We did a road trip from Boston to California and back and made a point to stop in Marceline, MO where Walt grew up. The Disney Family museum in Marceline is better than the one in California but this one is still cool. It's a lot smaller and doesn't have as many Walt artifacts but still has some cool originals.

A perfect place for the whole family. Walt Disney at his finest. My favorite are the 8 Oscar statuettes, Walt received for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Disney from its beginnings to the present. Special exhibits are always amazing. Must-See.

If you love Disney and love historical collections, this is a find. The museum is in a converted old military barracks of the Presidio, which is a beautiful area--even a rainy day like ours. From a distance, you don't know which one is the museum, because they all look the same. Luckily, there is a sign hanging on the porch... More

great museum about the family and history of Walt disney. Amazing to understand how he started his life and career and through successes and failures created animation and built disney with all his different vision. Probably not best for young children as a lot of reading and old documents.

What a treasure trove of interesting Disney history. We have returned several times. They offer scheduled Disney movies and more primary source material on Disney than a visitor can absorb in one visit. From old letters to movies, all is presented in an interesting fashion and worth all the time spent. Recommend comfortable shoes. Two hours in any museum is... More

This museum has a lot to offer especially for Disney Fans who want to know more about Walt, Roy, their family's history. There is a good overview of how the business developed over time. The museum offers the family's perspective of the evolution of the company and Walt's vision as well as the trials and tribulations they went through as... More

I liked this place, they had a film recently on him which covered some of the same ground. I really liked the multi plane camera.

This place is a great history location for all you need to know about walt disney. The only constructive advice I have, too much reading and an overkill of displays. Instead of making visitors read all this material which they otherwise could do in a library or online, why not add some more interactive displays and show more of walt... More

This Museum wasn't what I'd expected. It's not owned by the Disney Corporation and gives an interesting trajectory of Walt Disney's journey. We specifically saw an exhibit that outlined the making of Pinocchio.

Very extensive museum about his life and the accomplishments in his life. Especially liked the Disneyland model near the end.
