It was fun to see Jimi Hendrix house which is in the Haight Ashbury area of San Francisco. Jimi Hendrix was a legendary musicican. The house recently got a new red paint job. There is a store on the first floor.

Interesting 360 degrees, from Cupertino (recommended by car) to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Beautiful Fischerman area and of course Alcatraz.
Roads that have nothing to envy to roller coasters and fantastic taxi cars without drivers.
The House of Jimi Hendrix I do not actually know if it was actually one of his dwellings as there is no substantial evidence of his presence in the city.
He probably lived there for a short time but the neighborhood is still worth a visit.
He notes the massive presence of drug addicts in some downtown neighborhoods, a tangible plague that comes as a blow to the stomach.

The rumor has existed for years, but not sure why the owners are marketing this house as a former Jimi Hendrix home. Do your research people, he never even lived in San Francisco, much less at this address.

For those that love the music legend no doubt the house in Haight Street would be something of a pilgrimage. To me it was an interesting property with an historical significance, adding to the eclectic mix of buildings and people that make up the area. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit along the street.

Right in the heart of Haight, this unpretentious dwelling speaks of the simple roots of 60's rock. The lower floor front was his apartment. 'So if your going to San Francisco ...' why not wander down Haight and salute one of the rock gods of 60's USA. The story goes that he didn't really like the district ... it was too busy.

Jimi Hendrix had an apartment in the ‘Red House’ just around the corner from where Janis Joplin lived in Lyon Street. Coincidentally that both died at age 27 16 days apart
