Seven of us went on the tour and had a wonderful time. Our tour guide shared the history of the area that I would have never known strolling around on my own. The food was wonderful and plentiful. I highly recommend Gourmet Walks for teens and up. Don't miss the Hayes Valley tour.

Casey was great! My wife and I chose the Nopa/ Alamo tour as first venture into the food tasting world. Not sure what the other ones are like but this one was great. Casey met us and after we extended pleasantries , we headed to our first stop. We were a small group so there a lot of back and... More

This was a fantastic chocolate tasting tour! It lasted a few hours and I tasted some of the most delicious chocolates ever! We tried all sorts of different types and we learned a lot about how and where chocolate is made all over the world. I live in SF and the tour was in SF and we still learned new... More

We did the Chocolate Tour in San Francisco. It was just fantastic! We had chocolate in multiple forms (all delicious), and learned all about how cacao is grown, harvested and processed into chocolate. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It was a great way to spend three hours walking and enjoying one of our favorite foods!

Mama was in town and we wanted to do something a bit different and fun. Our guide, Casey was great as we explored the Nopa neighborhood! She had lots of insights to share with us as we tasted some unique flavors. Vegetarians and meat eats alike left feeling full and wonderfully satisfied!

We did the SF Chocolate Tour with Nicole and it was great FUN! We lucked out as it was a beautiful day in San Francisco which put everyone in a great mood right from the start. This is the second time booking this tour as a team building activity in six years and I would highly recommend it. Totally worth... More

Casey did a great job! Loved the tour of the city and all 7 stops...especially Nopalita, Souvla, and Powder. Would highly recommend doing it again!

This tour is definitely worth the money for anyone who loves chocolate! You will learn everything from where/how cacao beans are grown to how they are made into chocolate bars you purchase in stores. Marie O'Donnell was very knowledgeable, friendly, and enjoyable as the tour guide. You are able to try tasty treats at each stop but are not pressured... More

We did the Hayes Valley tour with Nicole, who has just the perfect blend of insider foodie info, history, and local color! We were a smaller group so Nicole tweaked her commentary to our interests (baking, chocolate, real estate). I had mentioned it was my bday when I booked the tour, and Nicole surprised me with a bday candle on... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighbourhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
