Walked from Golden Gate Bridge to Fisherman's Wharf through Crissy Field. We loved it and it was one of our highlights. Great views of the bridge and a chance to learn more about the city.

I found it difficult to find an easy place to really see the water and the bridge, but Crissy Field was the winner for sure. There was a lot of parking and it was not too crowded. It offered beautiful views of the bay.
Great views of Golden Gate in windy beach area. Lots of people hanging out enjoying the bay and bridge view. Plenty of parking all around the area.
Crissy Field offers up one of the best views of the Golden Gate bridge, especially at Sunset. There's lots of room to ride a bike, go for a jog, have a picnic or toss the frisbee around.

It is absolutely beautiful, but even in July it is cold...56 deg F. We rented bikes, but really didn't need them. Walking this field is beautiful.
Within walking distance of the Presidio and you can see both Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge from here. Was very peaceful and not crowded.
