Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took the Pacific Heights Mansions tour with John Nockels who is with San Francisco City Guides. He was very familiar with the neighborhood as he lives in the neighborhood. The Pacific Heights zip code is the most expensive in San Francisco. Pacific Heights commands a great view of the San Francisco Bay extending from the Golden Gate to downtown San Francisco and all around 360 degrees at its highest point. We saw homes on the so-called Billionaires Row. There is a lot of history with the rich and famous of California from the days of the 49ers to the present day. We saw homes on not so large lots that sold for over $10 million. We started from Alta Plaza Park and walked around the neighborhood a few blocks from the park to get just a flavor of the community and the personalities that lived or are currently living in this great location.

One of the wealthiest neighborhoods in the City. And the rich know how to live, so you will find lovely houses (some Victorians) and grand apartment buildings. There have always been great independent upscale neighborhood restaurants here. A pretty part of town where you will feel safe.

Should I write a review of my own neighborhood and promote it to tourists? Of course I should!!! Who knows a neighborhood better than the residents? I grew up in a Victorian house and can't imagine living anywhere else. The homes in Pacific Heights are so gorgeous and classic and people here really care about upkeeping their property. This is a classy neighborhood with classic homes and near to so many nice places. We are within walking distance of the Marina and you will love the views of the bay. Do come to visit!

Located at 2356 Pine Street, near Fillmore, a collection of expensive Victorian homes delights visitors. Constructed in the 1890s these survived the 1906 earthquake and subsequent horrific fire. I found that by walking through the side streets many surprising delights. There’s a rather suggestive “Tin Man” at one home. That insightful people chose to restore and preserve these magnificent homes instead of demolishing and constructing “modern” square-ish buildings is a testament to the beauty of San Francisco. How many Victorian homes remain in Manhattan?

if you see how the really rich or want to be's live go on a walking tour of Pacific Heights. The homes are HUGH ( some the sizes of hotels) and the views have to be seen to be believed.
Outer Broadway ( the last 3 blocks) have some of the fanciest homes to be seen with a park with steps at the end with great views.

We walked from fishermans wharf up to pacific avenue and then all the way up to Steiner st. We found the house from Mrs Doubtfire at 2649 Steiner/Broadway and then walked along Steiner up to Alamo park to see the painted ladies. Took a while but worth it to see the old Victorian style houses.

Truly remarkable houses located in pacific heights. The hills offer sweeping views of the Bay Area. Very quiet and clean. Worth a walk through if you have spare time.

I and my wife are visiting San Francisco next week. We are going on a road trip and driving there from Denver. I know it’s not easy to park, but would like any tips and info that anybody can give about that. We are staying in the Pacific Heights area. We are ok with parking on the streets if that’s permitted. Also overnight parking info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any advice.
