This was a place where my family shopped, dined, and hung out as we come from a military family. A nice quiet place to get reacquainted and stroll the history place of one of our Armed Forces.

If you are a long time visitor to the City by the bay, you must make The Presidio a priority on your next trip, everything you love about SF is here, minus the crowds and rather too urban atmosphere that is developing in town.

It's a nice residential area with the highway in the middle. I walked all the way to Sausalito but it's a long walk. I suggest to rent a bike.

Surprising in its size, beauty and the number of buildings from its days as a military base. The cemetery is huge with each headstone marking a life lost. The sheer sacrifice is overwhelming.
