Go here in the afternoon, and get nice views of the bridge while you hike through some nice trails. Some of the trails are steep but easily manageable. It is a good place to go after visiting Golden Gate Park. Free parking and clean restrooms.

The bus that runs along Geary St. is a good way to go. It is an East/West direction. Almost all of the North/South running buses cross Geary. No problem. Take the Geary bus West and get off at the end of the line. The Lands End walk is very beautiful. Fantastic view of Seal Rock, forest, the entrance to San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge, and green, green Marin County. Be very careful around the cliffs. Can be very dangerous. We loose a few tourists each year. But if you use caution it is a great place to be. I am going there myself on the 5th. Enjoy.
Yes, this is a highly visited tourist destination so the National Park service wants to take good care all visitors regardless of there mode of transportation to arrive there.
You’re gonna have a wonderful visit.
