It was under renovation when we're were there. But the whole view and the changing so quickly of view and cloud and bay was magical. It is definitely a must if you visit sanfrancisco

I crossed this bridge many time on this visit. Whether it in was 1951 as a child or crossing it in Dec 1982 just before it closed due to 70 mile an hour winds, the crossing is always an adventure for me. It is a...More

We hired bikes from Fishermans Wharf area and cycled to Sacramento across the bridge. Cycle path for majority of journey means you can enjoy the view. Quite a steep ride to get into the bridge. Bridge is busy and is probably more relaxing as a...More

What can you say other than "breathtaking". The slow traffic is to your benefit as it gives you more time to take pictures and revel in the views.

Our tour guide was able to park and let us out to take spectacular pix from about half way up the bridge height. I became uncomfortable with no railing, the height and the winds, but my husband took some awesome pix from the lookout area.

Golden Gate Bridge is a must see of San Fran. Have to take pictures. Try to visit here on as clear a day as possible as the mist/fog can mean that almost the whole of the bridge is not visible.

You can't go to San Fran & not cross the Golden Gate. Take the day to hire push bikes & ride through the parks and across the bridge down to Sausalito where you can find some lunch before catching the ferry back across to Fishermans...More

Plenty of room to ride across, very long bridge. I did see several rental agencies for bikes, Segways, etc., along the Wharf. Good luck, have fun, lots of pics!
