We really enjoyed going to see the GGB. It was a lovely sunny day so we walked over and back and it was lovely. Got good photos of the bay, city and Alcatraz along the way. Everyone recommended we walk over, rather than bus or car and we were really glad we did!

We went on the bridge by bus. It was terribly windy and cold in August, so take the warm and windproof jackets with you. However, the view over SF is wonderful with all the clouds and fog clearing away as the sun rises.. romantic! However we found the trip to the next place too expensive to take.

We were lucky enough to have one of the most beautiful days in San Fran. Perfect blue skys not a cloud in sight. The bridge is about 15 mins from Fishermans Wharf and was about $7 in an Uber. Fort Point is the main viewpoint for the bridge. There are a few different view points the high one which looks... More

The viewing galleries are good. Lots of photo opportunities. A great few of the city skyline as well as the bridge. I would not recommend walking across it on a cold day. It gets very windy.

Be sure to drive on the bridge as well as take the exit right after to go to the low end of the mountain and take a picture from the bottom up.

Astonishing and emblematic. A must do in SF! The Third longest bridge in th world. The first one by the time it was finished!

Good walk, beautiful view, its a really cold city so be ready for sun and freezing windy. Put some comfy shoes in your luggage and enjoy it. Be careful about the bad mood from the people that work there, the natives ones are nice but not the others. Asking for information is basically an insult. Sad but true

The previous years we crossed the bridge by car, bike and foot. Also we sailed under the bridge, but the most impressive view I had was from the plane. Besides the view there is also the feeling and from that perspective I like the look and feel when you walk on the bridge. It's also a beautiful part of a... More

Golden Gate bridge is definitely impressive and worth seeing. Not sure if it makes sense to walk through, simply stop just at the beginnining to have nice pictures of it. Alternatively have a tour by taking a bus to Sausalito.
