Lovely landmark with a great view of the city. Main reason I went though was to see the depression era murals. Unfortunately the line to the elevator to the top of the tower goes around the murals, blocking half of them. Admission to the tower...More

Windows around the entire tower provide excellent photo ops - Golden Gate bridge, Bay bridge, Sausalito, Alcatraz, and most of the city's iconic architecture. The murals around the bottom of the inside of the tower are done by various artists and are quite interesting. If...More

Even if one does not go into the tower, there are great views of San Francisco and the Bay area from the base of the tower. We walked up and down the hill to the tower, quite a steep grade.

North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds
of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian

neighbourhood of North Beach, once the stomping
grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of
North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always
suitable for younger visitors, few neighbourhoods in
the city exude as much European charm and style.
