The kids had fun, the adults played like kids! Get ready to spend some money, but the history is really very cool if you just want to look around and not play the games, it can be a free attraction.

This is the only thing in the Fisherman's Wharf / Pier 39 area that I can recommend because the entire area is basically one enormous tourist trap. The Musee Mecanique doesn't look like much from the outside, inside is a bit disorganized, but once you...More

A very cool and interesting collection of vintage mechanical entertainment machines. It's free to enter and have a look and you can play/watch the machines for some coins as well. They also have some newer retro arcade games. They have money change machines as well...More

My family of four (kids aged 10 and 12) came here after having lunch at the nearby Boudin Bakery. I got change for my $10 and we spent the next hour or so having fun with old and vintage machines. Many were silly. Most were...More

This is a great place for all ages. Mechanical entertainment games that I remember growing up. From fortune tellers, player pianos, baseball games, horse racing. Funny how the cell phones were not out and people were engaged playing these old working order games.

Nice place to spend an hour and about a million quarters (there is exchange machines inside to convert your useless bills to much more useful coins). More fun than expected to try the old game machines. Free entrance, only downside it's a little crowded but...More

I was hanging out to see this place. Firstly the ATM there would not accept my Travelex card and locked me out of it in which I was not happy then the machine took my quarter and didn't give me what I paid for. Not...More
