Located in the Sea Cliff neighborhood of San Francisco outside the Golden Gate, this cove is tucked between Baker Beach & Land's End. Offering spectacular views of Marin Headlands and The Golden Gate this cove of sand is good place for sunbathing, play spot for children and a picnic. Observe the monument to the Chinese fishermen and early residents who camped and anchored in the cove.

On our last full day in sf (a Saturday on a holiday weekend), we wanted to get out of downtown to get away from the crowds. We took an Uber from Union Square out to China Beach (not a short drive, but still less than...More

Great view if the Golden Gate & Easy to access this beach! However it does get crowded easy and finding a parking spot can be tough - but there is no fee to park or access the beach!

This is definitely a great spot to relax by the beach and watch the sunset over the ocean, but also see the Golden Gate Bridge both by day and by night. This beach is quite small and in December it seemed occupied mostly by surfers...More

Fantastic way to appreciate the Golden Gate Channel, the power of the Pacific, the ebb and flow of the tide in and out of the Bay, and the Farallon Islands in the distance. This beach is only about 200 yards long, but is well worth...More

Located in the Seacliff neighborhood. Have sheltered pocket of sand with a picnic area and a sunbathing deck. Accessible by a steep, paved drive or natural stairway of ~100 steps. Please note that the restroom is closed.

Moved to this neighborhood almost a year ago and just today discovered this little gem of a beach on a morning run. I was astonished at it's beauty, it's seclusion, and it's peacefulness. I shared the beach with a someone fishing, a person on the...More

Nice to visit on a sunny day. Plenty of sand and some waves. Nice view of Golden Gate Bridge. Caution that on a windy day, the blowing sand actually hurts. On an overcast day, it can be very cold. Can see Robin William's house -...More
