Great food and views

Every time I go to San Fran the Ferry Building is a must visit spot for me! I especially love the views from the pier and having oysters and beer at Hog Island Oysters.

We went there as soon as we arrived on our first night and almost everything was closed. Visited later during the week when shops and restaurants were open and it was really not all that exciting. I wouldn't recommend this, especially with everything else in this great city.

The Ferry Building has something for most tastes from fresh fish and produce to pottery, kitchen goods and coffee shops. Whether you're in the mood for a refined meal or casual take away, you'll find it here. The Saturday Market is a must visit-- lots and lots of vendors with everything from pastries and breads to specialty sodas and handmade... More

We happened upon this marketplace in the Ferry Building on our way to get a nice view of the Bay Bridge and we loved it! There are a ton of independent merchants here, from a honey stand to ceramic pottery to a wine bar and book shop. It was fun to peruse the different mini-storefronts, and we got some great... More

If you are visiting SF, you should go to the Ferry Building. There are artisanal shops, unique stores, and a great local vibe. Unlike many tourist destinations in The City, locals actually go to the Ferry Building to shop and have lunch or coffee. For a powerful pick-me-up, be sure to hit Blue Bottle Coffee. It is strong and delicious.

We always love visiting the ferry building when visiting SF. This time we stayed right across the street at Harbor Court Hotel, which was super convenient for eating in the Ferry building and checking out the amazing farmers market. Check it out!

Went on a Saturday morning. By 10.30 it was really busy but I'm a good way. Lots of people out exploring and enjoying themselves. Really interesting food market. Had a great energy. Thoroughly recommend.

A fantastic place to visit, grab a bite to eat & people watch. Abundance of coffee shops, chocolate & food-from grab & go to eat-in :) Historic place with great personality!
