I have been to Alcatraz many times. I like that they have self guided audio tours. There was construction happening when I was there this last time so they are trying to keep up the building which is a good thing.

Loved this tour. Would highly recommend it. Some walking involved though. Loved the tour using the headphones, fantastic experience of what it was like when operating as a prison. Lovely gift shop too. Friendly staff also

Took the earliest trip of the day (highly recommend) so it wasn't too crowded. Loved the audio guided tour and was one of our favourite parts of the trip

Alcatraz is a must see in San Francisco. We were referred by friends who had done the tour previously. The ferry ride over and back was pleasant. The audio tour was great. Had a wonderful time.

we done the twilight visit,from getting on the boat to getting off was fantastic,the staff telling different stories from its past was excellent,as was the tape link to the history.
