Great tour walk at your own pace I suggest taking the tour cart to the top instead of walking unless your legs are good.

It is almost like you can feel the past inmates there.
I don't know that would call it haunted but did feel we got some idea of what the prisoners experience. Will now see the movies filmed at Alcatraz differently, now that we have been there. Could not ho to San Francisco without doing the tour at least once. We booked too late to…

Alcatraz Island is a trip that you must do. I would suggest you don’t miss the wonderful site seeing experience. A part of history that all visitors must learn about.
