This museum is not to be missed in the grand scheme of the "working class" vs the "moneyed class" of the late 19th century/early 20th century and its impact on modern day finances. Our volunteer docent was polite and knowledgeable, but sadly, seemed bored when...More

The staff was very good, and listened patiently to the small children in our party. They pointed out certain things to us, and told us places to look out for.

Very informative, even allowed my small dog inside where he was given water and treats. Open M-F 1 to 4.

We needed some help to locate cemeteries on the island. We had a delightful visit with the volunteer staff and had all our questions answered.

A lovely museum with plenty of artifacts, pictures and articles about the history of Bar Harbor. The docents are knowledgeable and are ready to answer any question! I think I liked the old Bar Harbor better - now it's super commercial.
