Downeast Windjammer Cruises A morning, afternoon or sunset sail with legendary Downeast Windjammer Cruises is fun for the whole family. Each offers a leisurely sail among the island of Frenchman Bay aboard one of two historic schooners: the twin-masted *Bailey Louise Todd* and the 151-foot *Margaret Todd*, the first four-masted schooner to work New England waters in over half a century. Guests can view Acadia National Park from the sea, watch lobster men hauling their traps, see the bay's abundant wildlife, have a picnic, or just relax on the spacious decks of these historic sailing vessels. There are three trips daily, each approximately 1.5 to 2 hours long. All cruises are dog friendly. For a different adventure take a ride on one of our ferries from Bar Harbor to the other side of Acadia National Park to Schoodic.

Lovely afternoon sailing Frenchman's Bay. The National Park Service guide, Patrick was a great source of information. The crew was helpful as well pointing out wild life for all to see. Next time maybe a sunset cruise... it must be lovely.

A friend and I booked the sunset sail on the Margaret Todd for our last evening in Bar Harbor. We saw that it was foggy, but kept our fingers crossed that it would clear up before the sun went down. I should have seen it...More

We had a very relaxing cruise on the Margaret Todd schooner. Watching the crew and volunteers raise the sails was very impressive. The weather was wonderful and the guitarist was a nice touch. It was a lovely way to end the evening.

Took a cruise on the Margaret Todd while we were in Bar Harbor, ME. She is a 151' four-masted schooner reminiscent of the New England coastal merchant ships from the late nineteenth to early twentieth century. Sailing may not be the most exciting pastime to...More

We are a bay cruise, departing from downtown Bar Harbor. There are other boating companies that only do lighthouse cruises.
