Great museum
Mar. 2020 • Couples
Really enjoyed this museum, very well done. Really nice short film to start off. Displays are very nice, with a lot of CHumorro history that you won't find elsewhere. Really glad that 90% of the museum is local and island history.

Learn about Guam culture and history
Feb. 2020
Starts with creation of Guam culture. Great short video of how life began and how Guam came to be. You then pass thru galleries that explain early Guam life before the Spanish. How the Spanish brought religion and changed life on the island. Then came the Americans. there's an extensive section on life on Guam during WWII. This is a definite stop while visiting the island. they have Military, student and senior discounts.

Beautiful contemporary museum conveying all of Guam's history

What a beautiful facility! Modern museum with spacious exhibits and knowledgeable staff members. Learned so much about the long history of the Chamorro people as well as the history of Guam. Great location with plenty of things to do in the immediate area.

The Guam Museum Deserves Five Stars
Feb. 2020 • Couples
The museum focuses on the journey of the Chamorro people (the native people of Guam) by interactively engaging the visitor through dialogue, shared perspectives and experiences. Local Chamorro Architect Andy Laguana designed the museum using a weaving effect - like the baskets his father once used as a fisherman. I’ve been to many museums around the world. For it size and content, the Guam Museum deserves its five stars. Helpful Hint: It’s an easy walk to Latte Stone Memorial Park and Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral-Basilica.

Informational and entertaining
Nov. 2019 • Solo
I find Guam Museum entertaining as well as informational as well. This is a dissection of Guams culture and heritage. There is also a film showing were one can find tons of information about Guams history. They were colonized by the spaniards , then the japanese and then liberated by the Americans just like in the Philippines.
I also find the design of the bldg aestically beautiful.

Small but powerful exhibits

I love this Museum! Its a must see for Guam visitors and residents alike. CHamorus, the indigenous people, have a 3,500 year history that is facinating to learn about.

The museum is a must see as you go through Guam’s History for a small fee, learn the history of Spanish and Japanese occupation on the Island.

It is something you will not regret to recommend to the tourists of Guam. But also for most of the people who had never been there.I would love to come back and learn more about the history of Guam.
