Nice way to explore his beautiful spot!

The cyclone of 2012 left a swath of destruction, yet the island is rebuilding quickly. It is gorgeous, and worth a visit!

Like all the other reviews, the rooms are large and comfortable. Unlike the other reviews, the airport shuttle driver James takes care in making sure you get to the site and return you safely to the airport. Moe and Finau provide warm welcomes and information. Ina is so welcoming. I talked to her in the restaurant and she is so... More

After two tours in Tahiti and Bora Bora I had hoped that Pago Pago would somehow be different....it wasn't. The poverty of these South Pacific Islands is just over whelming and I can't find any reason I would want to return to this area of the world to see these poor living conditions on a vacation again. Our young tour... More

Fishing, luau, diving, beaching, hangout with local folks. These people are great. I loved everything about this place. Water is clear, the people are just so relax there. You just want to throw away everything and go there.

We took a Princess Lines tour, which we learned at the last minute, was on "Le Truck". This an old wooden sided, bus with cramped, bare wooden bench seats and no air conditioning or speaker system. To add insult to injury the roads are in terrible disrepair. The final straw is that there was nothing to see. We passed lots... More

Firstly, I couldn't recommend Pago Pago Tradewinds tour highly enough. We booked with Betty Cavanagh via email, and until we met on the island, this had been the only contact we had. Upon disembarking the ship, we were confronted by a mass of local bus drivers bartering for business, as well as a long queue of over crowded, open air... More

We want to send many thanks and kudos to Betty Cavanaugh of Tradewinds Tours on American Samoa. We had made reservations with Betty via email about one month before our visit to American Samoa in February, 2013. Because of the crush of passengers visiting from a cruise ship on the day of our reservation, many vans on the island were... More

When booking we thought we are going to get an A/C van but we got an open bus. The guide was nice young women, very pleasent and the best part of the tour was the village life demonstration.

Betty Cavanagh, is the owner operator of Pago Pago Tradewinds Tours. I had gotten her name and recommendations from TripAdvisor and booked a 4 hour tour with her, for $50 per person, in Pago Pago. When we arrived we were part of a group of 10 persons whom she had aggregated into a tour. Most of the tours offered by... More

With 40 years of experience under her belt, Betty Cavanagh arranged a fantastic 6 hour tour of American Samaoa’s Pago Pago and Tuitila Island. We were picked up dockside in a large, late model, air-conditioned SUV. Our very capable tour guide/driver was the 2008 Miss American Samoa, Netty. She was born and raised near the Rainmaker Mountain, but had spent... More
