The drive along the west side of Oahu to Yokohama bay is spectacular. Two lane road along the ocean , unspoiled coast with rugged rocky areas and wide, expansive sandy beaches.

There is a great MORNING hike to Kaena Point, but it gets very hot with little wind in the afternoon. Drive to the very end of the road where the pavement ends, and park in the gravel parking lot (or along the side of the...More

Sunsets are absolutely breathtaking. Dog friendly / family friendly. You gotta drive to get here. This is where the locals go, and where visitors come to get away from the touristy-ness of Waikiki and Honolulu. No bathroom, so bring your own TP. No food, so...More

This beach is located at the end of the made road heading north on the western coast of Oahu. It's well worth the visit if you have a car. Crystal clear water and only a gentle current taking you along the beach, not out to...More

This beach at the end of Farrington Highway is certainly worth visiting. It is never busy but the surf can be good and the rugged coastline is beautiful.

Beautiful views of the sunset. Enjoy the ride to the most western point where the road ends and chill on the beach while you watch the sunset.

Great alternative to the crowded waikiki Beach. Take an umbrella because there is now shade. The waves are strong and big so be careful. You can watch there sunset. The only problem is the traffic while comming back to Honolulu. We were there twice and...More

Nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu....Makes you remember you're in Hawaii...if you have a rental car and some extra time - take the time to visit. Not the safest beach to visit (at least the surf was up when we...More

This beach is beautiful as well as being away from it all. We visited in June and it was quite windy and impossible to keep an umbrella up. The only thing I didn't like about this area was the amount of trash left along the...More
