I am in Hawaii about every three months, this was my first time to this beach. The drive is very beautiful and the beach is very peaceful, you will not see many people here. Do not leave valuables in your car. The water is a bit rough, and also rocky. Not great for kids or novice swimmers. A great place... More

We saw a parking lot pulled in an found the steps and wow was it worth the trip. It's a small beach but not to many people has shade and sunny area's in the afternoon. You can see by my pictures it's amazing!!!

Because this is a long stretch of beach and the least crowded I've been to on the island so far, people have the freedom to choose their spot and kind of decided to make this a nude beach (in some parts). I would not recommend staying in a spot where no one else is able to see you, though for... More

Long sandy beaches for sunset strolls. Found a few bits of sea glass here. It is strenuous walking on this sand so bring water to drink. Turtles swim just a few feet of shore and there are very few people here. Just a short drive from Hale'iwa.

On a day of extremely rough surf on the main North Shore beaches, Mokuleia was recommended by the owners of the house we were renting as an alternative. We had the beach to ourselves! Pretty amazing, if a tad daunting at times with 6-10' waves crashing in... It was quite beautiful, opposite an airstrip where parachutists and glider pilots were... More

Your spot to enjoy! Hopefully there's no rain as the weather can be unpredictable with the howling winds coming off the Waianae mountain range. The coastline is rocky so step easy while in the water, do t want to get cut! There are pockets of sandy spots but the wrong time it'll be swamped by other beach goers and fisherman!... More

Very quiet part of the island. Beautiful beach, although a lot of litter roadside. Abundant parking. Also happens to be the crash site beach from TV series 'Lost'.

Apparently the group and I went on a bad day. The weather was beautiful, the beach was empty (except for 1 grouchy local that told me to move further away from him which btw I was already over 80ft away), the color of the water was amazing, the mountains on the opposite side are breathtaking, but the waves were way... We really enjoyed the North Shore and this was a nice place to visit. We also learned some about the culture and festivities of the native people. Must visit!

This beach is one of my favorites on O'ahu. Beautiful colors of green and blue waters, gentle breezes and not usually more than 10 people in sight. IF THAT! polo fields just up the road a bit...I love this beach.
