I wanted to treat my family to a simple staycation. It cost me some money but I splurged on a cabana (Keiki Kove 1) and took advantage of the QR ordering and delivering service for lunch.
After DECADES between visits to the waterpark, I was not impressed. The lady at the entrance gift shop looked bored and bothered. The attendant at the cabana check-in was not focused on the customer in front of him, he was interrupted several times by other employees of the park helping other guests to essentially cut in line. The lifeguards were young. It was hard to watch them blow there whistles then yell disrespectfully at an older guest. It was equally shocking to hear one of them at closing declare that she could finally get out of there and go home!
The food was expensive, of course, and attempted to be an upgraded version of fast food. It was a nice try but we wasted most of it, especially the soggy fries.
My husband asked me if I was interested in "upgrading" to a season pass. I said no.

Overpriced, understaffed, long lines, insufficient rafts. We left after an hour because we didn’t want to keep standing in lines that never moved or being bumped into in the overcrowded wave pool with unruly, unsupervised campers. They charge $79 for 2 chairs in the shade and have no shade for the extremely long lines (on a Monday). Even with the Costco discount passes, it was a ripoff.

We were having a great Winter visit in Hawaii and decided to go here. Winter is definitely the best time to visit Wet n Wild. Pretty much no queues with all rides available. We splurged for the premium deluxe package which included transport, entry, a very good lunch, locker and a good take home towel. There were quite a few locals and plenty of staff, but it wasn't crowded so you could ride whatever you wanted as often as you wanted. You can't bring in food or beverages (except water) but that's fine, there is food available if you don't do the package. We had a lot of fun and it was one of the highlights to our Hawaii visit, much to our surprise.

My family loved this waterpark! Now, if you’re not staying for an extended amount of time I’m not sure it would be worth it to take a whole day for. We stayed in Oahu for 3 weeks with my brother in law. He also is a season pass holder, so we either got in really cheap or free with his friends and family passes. It was one of the highlights of our trip though. My 8 year old went off and did all the big slides while my little one and I stayed in the kid’s section. The food is pricey, but that’s Hawaii for you.

I just visited Wet'tn and Wild Hawaii, never again, It is frustrating to pay full price and only be there for an hour. Hours were not posted at the park. Hours were not posted at the window where they gladly took my money. They never said a word, that they were closing shortly. Shame on them. Not only that, but the bathrooms were also very dirty. Looks like all of the staff was on a vacation too until they blew the whistle to hurry you out of the park. Even a simple drink was bad. Don't waste your money, you will be disappointed. As I left the park I went to the cashier and explained my frustration with the parks hours not being notified nor posted at the park. Told me I should of look at the website, he could care less. Not being very Aloha, shame on them, never again.

Tried to purchase the bundle for 5 online. Max 4.
No option for admission and lunch for 1.
Supposed to be a birthday gift for kids in a homeless veteran family.
Absolutely no help from staff or manager on the phone.
Been taking large groups there since they opened.
With that kind of service, no more.

I just read some of the reviews posted by other visitors to Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park, and I couldn't even believe what I was reading.
Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park is the BEST water park my family (with 3 children) has ever been to.
Uh, yes, the pavement is hot--it's Hawaii! Of course the pavement is hot--so is the sand on the beach.
It's a bit on the expensive side? This surprises you? Everything in Hawaii is on the expensive side.
The water at the waterslide park is pleasantly warm (if you've ever been to water parks on the mainland with ice cold water, you know how awful it can be), and the slides, of course, are great fun.
It has the best play area for little ones I've ever experienced at a water park. (Most of them don't have much of anything for children under 3 years old.)
The wave pool is excellent. The park is decorated with bright tropical colors--the whole time one is there, one never forgets that they are in paradise.
What's not to love?

This review is for parents with small kids (mine were 2&4). I don't normally write reviews unless it's amazing but our 2.5 hours here were 100% a waste of time and money.
1. If you go, get your tickets at Costco first (located in Kapolei, 2 min from the water slides). You get a two pack for $60 as opposed to paying $50/person at the door (if you're local, you pay a LOT less). Kids over 3 are $39 (more on this later).
2. Check their schedule online before going. They're not open everyday.
3. If you arrive at 10:30 when they open, you pay $8 for parking, which as far as I could tell was NOT advertised on their website. On top of astronomical admission fees, we thought a parking fee was absurd.
4. Know how tall your child is. Online it lists what slides a child over 40" can ride. At the park they have to be over 42". My 4 year old is 40.5, we thought the $39 admission would hopefully be worth it, but when we got there she had her pick of about 3 slides.
5. The slides kids under 42" can ride are so slow that they get stuck halfway down and have to walk the rest of the way. The lifeguard then blows the whistle on them for not staying seated....
6. Kids under 12 can NOT use the hot tub. The water is COLD and my kids (2 & 4) had blue lips and uncontrollable shivers for most of our stay. I was shocked that they don't have a hot tub that kids under 12 can use. And the hot tub is super tiny, so maybe they're trying to keep like 60% of their customers out (ie. kids under 12).
7. The entire park is filthy. The toilets were wiped down but a layer of dirt (I hoped it was dirt) is smeared all over the porcelain. The concrete is cracked and broken everywhere so you really have to watch your step in bare feet. The ground under the deck chairs is solid mud. Anything that touches the ground is muddy, including feet obviously and all the walkways are sludgy and very slippery.
8. Food is your average cafeteria fare, in other words tastes awful and you'll pay about $10 per meal. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries, that kind of thing. They don't allow you to bring your own food, and don't have kids meals or any kind of kids food unless you're into an order of fries for $6.
9. My kids were so cold that we left after 2.5 hours. No one was collecting money for parking anymore, which was kind of the nail in the coffin for our terribly unfun day.
Definitely wouldn't recommend this to any tourist. Oahu has so much to offer and a day spent here will leave you wishing you'd saved your money for a better adventure. Maybe it's a great way to spend the day as adults... but this review is written for parents with little kids! This water park is not for you!

I have never written a negative review that I can recall on Trip Advisor. Wet and Wild in Oahu is absolutely terrible. It cost us $210 to get in for the four of us after taxes. I work in hospitality consulting and here is my take as to what is happening. Someone borrowed a lot of money and used this park as collateral. They seem as though they are severely underfunded and are squeezing the business and not maintaining it in terms of physical maintenance or staff.
They have three prime rides. They only open one at a time to save on staffing. The same two staff members move from ride to ride closing the rides that they are not monitoring. That keeps the lines long at over an hour oftentimes for a 30-second slide. Everything is in need of maintenance. The water is greenish yellow with mustard colored sides to the pools. I saw a floating Bandaid in the water. Everything needs to be repainted. As I waited in line for a $10.95 (like $14 after tax) hot dog, one staff member set a date with another for almost five minutes while making my order and change. All of the tables outside to eat were filthy with no staff member to clean them up---this was at 12:30pm right at the lunch rush--think spilled sodas mixed with hair and suntan lotion. The concrete is so hot that I had to go back to my $17 locker for shoes. Then, when I left them at the lazy pool, someone stole my shoes. The entire experience was terrible. I was in and out in 2 hours. This is way below any wet n wild that I have ever seen. Dirty, poor service, expensive and unaccommodating...

This place could be run so much better, but seems to be run
by a greedy landlord. After paying $160.00 for a family of four,
two under ten, we precented to the park. We were stopped by a
lady who went through our bags looking for any morsel of food
we may bring in. We had a tiny bag of Doritos, and planned on
buying lunch there. She let us through, but then called a security
guard who asked us to get rid of the Doritos...Doritos how criminal!
We went to use the change facilities, and found them absolutely
disgusting and in dire need of matinence. The slides themselves are
fairly good, and there is lots of variety. Some older ones need maintenance, and are rusting. My daughter got a large scrape on the back of her leg on her first slide. The wavepool was fun, until they closed that for a time,
and starting charging ten dollars for people to wave board in there.
There seems to be a lack of staff to run all the slides, so they are not
all open at the same time. Food is extremely costly. Parking is costly,
lockers are costly, at $14.00.
The staff inside were very good, and helpful. I feel sorry for them, as they take alot of guff, because of the way it is run. I'm sure they are
not highly paid by the greedy landlord. Also, for that fee it is only
open 10:30 until 3:30.
Go to the beach, and spend your money elsewhere. You will be glad
you did!

These following questions are specifically about their Celebrate Package:
-Is there an age limit for the birthday package?
-Minimum of # of people is 20 count?
-Will it be possible to celebrate it a few days after the actual birthday date of the celebrant? [This is because on the actual bday which is Wednesday, it will be closed and the celebrant might possibly celebrate with the family first]-This is a surprise for the celebrant.

I think it is open all year round. From 10am to 3pm during January. But I would check it is exactly what you want to see when you are there. The 2 major rides were not open so be sure to check. I would not recommend going there.

without a hire car what is the best way of getting to Wet n Wild from Waikiki please?
Written 26 February 2016
Hi Jane A,
The best way is by booking a tour probably but I would honestly ring and check that all the rides are open. As we got there and 2 main ones were shut. I wouldn't spend that money there, I would go somewhere else, our kids were very disappointed in the park. It was fun, but for that kind of money, especially with the Aussie $. there are so many better places to go. We paid over $500 US and it was such a waste of money. Got there at 10.30 on tour bus, had to still cue up to get in and then everything was shut up by 2pm. Go somewhere else. Good luck. :)

Can we visit here just for miniature golf? I see it has a separate price on their website. Or would we need to pay to get in the water park then again additionally for golf?
