There is a reason this beach is consistently voted one of the most beautiful in the world. The water is gorgeous and the sand is a pretty white. Great views.

Please understand the path leading to the beach area are thru a residential area - parking in the area are very limited - there is NO toilet facilities, showers, or snack shops. ( I live in Kailua)

Spent a beautiful windy day paddeling! Relaxing and enjoying ocean. Easy acces from Honolulu, but I prefered the long road on the coast. A pleasure to drive and smile to sun and ocean.

Parking was a bit of an issue but once we got there we saw about 7 sea turtles in the water and on the beach! It was definitely worth the walk from where we parked!!

This was the best beach we found in Hawaii. We arrived at 10 a.m. on a Sunday and had a hard time finding a parking place. There are no services here but the sand and water make up for it. You can find facilities at...More

Nice quiet and well maintained. Not large crowds or large waves. Walk in from Kailua about 15 to 20 minutes. Places to eat and rent gear are close by.

We drove out to eat near lanikai beach, and last minute decide to head over. The drive is amazing, passing through local neighborhoods with so much character and cool local aesthetics. It seemed many people were having trouble finding parking, but we were lucky and...More

There are a couple things that you need to take into consideration. Depending on when you come, the Kailua side of Oahu can be cooler while the sun will be a sure thing on the Waikiki side. The Lanaki beach is beautiful... More

I don't think there's any transport directly to the beach. There may be to Kailua beach park which isn't too far but I don't remember seeing buses there either. I would recommend hiring a car for at least 2 days if based in... More
Hi, I've read much about difficulty parking near Lanakai Beach. May I ask specifics about where to park to ensure I'm not fined or towed. I'll be visiting the last week of June. Thanks.

There are signs and are no specific parking lots for the beach.
