This is not the easiest hike. While I saw folks doing it in dresses and flip flops, I would recommend appropriate attire and hiking shoes at much of it is steep, rocky and not much room for error with large drops and narrow paths. My...More

Easy hike but we needed directions where trail started. There was no official marker. Found trail in Oahu Trailblazer. Too bad so much graffiti on the pillbox but view was sensational

Relatively short hike, the first bit is the hardest. We’re quite fit so it took us only 15 mins to the 2nd pill box. We had read online you could continue along the ridge line and drop down thru residential houses. I would NOT recommend...More

It’s a short hike (35m) up the hill so you will get good workout. Take good hiking shoes. When you get to the first Pilar box, continue to the next (10m), different view and so beautiful. I don’t recommend to go after rain because it...More

Two stars for crowds, eroded trail conditions; poorly built, and overgrown from all the rain. Seriously why do trail runners seem to think they need not slow down or stop on trails with lots of traffic. The views are beautiful but this hike has lost...More

Beautiful view and amazing place. Was very hot during that hiking but was worth it. Unfortunately we lost our drone there. Which was heartbreaking. If anyone funds it I can pay a lot of money for memory card.

The hike is pretty tough, although pretty short. The slope at the beginning is steep, and the drops throughout are huge! Beautiful views. We witnessed a helicopter recuse once we finished and were relaxing on Lanikai Beach. Take your time, be careful and most should...More

Pillbox Hike is located across the street from a country club and surrounded by what have to be multi-million dollar homes. I recommend coming in the morning to beat the heat and find parking. You can't park in front of the homes or you will...More

Hard to find a parking spot but is a nice walking distance from the beach. I strongly recommend you to wear a pair of shoes that you use for hiking as you will experience a short but nice trail walking (don’t recommend you to go...More

This was by far our favorite experience/hike in Oahu. It’s fairly easy but expect to get on on your hands to climb during parts of the hike. People even brought their dogs and the views are insane. The first pillbox has the best views but...More

Drive there is really good. Parking is the problem. No parking lot and you have to park on the street. Read signs as it is a residential area and parking is limited. It is worth the hike, so be patient in finding a place... More
