Lovely hike. How to find the entrance: find the sunset beach park sign. Cross the road into the elementary school. You'll see a path opposite the school on the left with a sign saying it's closed. Not sure why it says this as there are...More

We had a muddy experience for this hike as it had rained the day before...lots of shaded areas that might not dry out too easily so be prepared for some slippery terrain. There's some trees and ropes to help as you may need to hang...More

Don't let people fool you by saying that it only takes 25 minutes to get to the top. It's a great hike but bring some hiking shoes (not tennis shoes or flip flops) because some of the trail can be slippery especially after a rain...More

If you think this is a simple little loop hike you’re definitely definitely wrong - be sure to take a left after the picnic table or you are set up for getting lost. Both times we have been on this hike it was extremely muddy...More

The views are worth the mud! Took this hike the day before leaving the island. It had rained earlier in the week and that made for a very muddy trail. Make sure you bring shoes that you’re ok with being ruined (hiking boots would make...More

The trail can be steep in spots, and slippery if it's rained recently, but this is a great hike - it's not terribly long, the views and surrounding forest are beautiful, and there's plenty of shade. Bring more water than you think you'll need, wear...More

It is an easy hike up, slippery after rain. You have 2 places to take pretty pictures, especially at sunset. Not very crowded, a good way up and down to talk with other visitors and exchange your experiences.

This is a great, short semi-steep trail to the first Ehukai Pillbox that is family fun for everyone. I parked across the street at Ehukai State Beach and the trailhead starts at the parking lot of Sunset Elementary with a well-marked orange WELCOME sign. So...More

We were excited to hike this pillbox and while it was a little steep, it was well worth the hike. Beautiful views of the bay!

This hike was very slippery and muddy for the first 10-15 minutes, but ropes along the way made it much easier. After that it was relatively easy, but the humidity got us sweating! The views at the pillboxes are incredible and definitely worth it
