We visited the park a few weeks ago, The main walkway through the park is paved and easy to navigate so you can see trees, flowering plants and shrubs that are native to the islands. There is a waterfall at one end of the trail and you can swim in the pond at the bottom of the falls. I recommend... More

The path from the entrance to the falls is paved so it makes this "hike" very easy & accessible to everyone. The falls are lovely. There are bathrooms & change rooms close to the falls to make changing from bathing suits to dry clothes easy. Although there is a cost to enter the gardens, it makes me feel good knowing... More

This is my first "terrible" rating with Trip Advisor, and it is not without justification. The advertising for this is very misleading and extremely overstates the attributes of this site. The price per person is entirely too steep considering the falls are not impressive ( natural waterfalls higher than this are in my daughters backyard in Hawaii Kai) and the... More

This location provides an easy hike (on a paved path) to a pretty waterfall that you can go in and swim to. Entering the water is somewhat tricky as you have to step on slippery rocks on the edge, however once you are in, it is nice. The flora along the hike up the falls is gorgeous. You feel like... This site is a long drive if you are staying in Honolulu but it is lovely and when the hibiscus and other flowers are in bloom it should be very special. Even in winter, the many plants from all over the Pacific are interesting and the reconstructed village is nice.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Park. It is a long walk uphill but if you are not up to it you can hire a golf cart to take you up to the falls and then walk down. We did that as we didn't have much time to spend and found the photo opportunities were really awesome. We stopped for... More

There is a lot to do in the park so a couple of hours are needed to relax and enjoy the surroundings. It is worth swimming by the falls. As far as falls go they are middle of the road but since it is an easy walk to and easy to swim by the falls I give it high marks.... More

The admission is a little pricey at $32 per couple. There are a lot of identified plants and trees, which were beautiful, but not as many flowers as I had hoped. It was a hot day so we really appreciated the coolness of the pool below the waterfall. The water levels were low so the falls were probably not as... More

This is a nature preserve rich in Hawaiian history. Along the mile paved walk you will be delighted with the beauty of the Waimea Valley. The best part is at the end where you go down to the actual Falls. Here you can don life jackets(required) and jump into the cool water and swim up to and under the falls.... More

It's expensive for what you get... Botanical gardens were just meh...really, just kind of blah. Not much flora, not very pretty, and not well kept. The falls: measly in size, very cold water, and a high chance of getting sick from bacteria (Leptospirosis) @ $16pp, don't bother. I followed the rest of my group here since they wanted to see...
