It was nice watching the surf guys. The sea is beautiful and it was not very crowded and it can be during the surf competitions.

Stopping along the North Shore and seeing the beautiful beaches and the big waves they are famous for is a must see if you are on Oahu. Truly spectacular views of the ocean, and so fun to watch people surf on the big waves. You...More

I liked the view at Shark Cove better and the waves at pipeline, but this would probably be the better beach front on the North Shore. Very limited parking.

Of all the beaches in the immediate area, this is by far my favourite beach. The potential for photos were outstanding. There is an obvious reason for it being called "Sunset." Beautiful. It's a much longer walk from Backpackers Hostel than the other beaches but...More

The sand is soft and it wasn't too crowded on a Tuesday afternoon. Not a ton of shade however. While most of the beaches have decent sunset views, this one is really good.

Beautiful Spot to stop and take pictures or enjoy the view. We were not there during surf season- and are not surfers- but we enjoyed the scenic drive and the amazing weather

Parking is at a premium so snag a spot wherever you can. Admission was free the day we were there but perhaps it depends on the event.
