It is fun to walk around the old town of Haleiwa. There are many buildings from the early 1900's. I was there on a Sunday and there was a long line of people buying rotisserie chickens being sold in a parking lot. They smelled wonderful!

The park is large and very well maintained. Great place for parties or bbqs. There are two beach areas; the one to the West is a bit more calm. A good place to chill for a while or party with family and friends.

If you want to surf it's a good spot for beginners. But you need to be really careful cause the bottom it's really rocky and shallow. When I was getting out with my surfboard I stepped on sea urchin. Was really painful, like thousands needles...More

This is a large grassy area on the outskirts of "downtown" Haleiwa. There are picnic tables, restrooms and children's playground equipment. There is limited shade.

This part of the Island is fun to explore. That said, to me, there are better places to explore the North Shore beaches than this Park. I went in January, not a turtle in sight, which was expected. A nice setting, not particularly memorable. Some...More

Typically comes periodically and takes a few days to clear out. Annoying yes?
