My favorite beach on Oahu. Great swimming beach in the summer, with winter being big surf and surfer/boogie boarder viewing. Nice beach park. Parking lot can fill quickly but there is some parking along the road. Water gets deep fast and it is not always...More

What more can you say other than you are on the beach in Hawaii at probably one of the best beaches in the world. Our house was just down the road.

Waimea bay is a beautiful beach any time of the year. The other day I drove over to sit and watch the waves (over 40 feet)...it was peaceful...though many other folks were out and about and this made parking and traffic an issue. Public restrooms...More

Beautiful beach, not nearly as crowded as Waikiki. Waves can be strong here. No cover so bring a beach umbrella.

By far my favorite beach on Oahu! Beautiful sand beach, very scenic with volcanic rock cliffs to either side of the bay. We went when the surf was high (10-15ft) which was AMAZING to see as I’m from USA’s east coast where we don’t get...More

I hear the waves can vary from day to day. We came twice in a week and had a great time. On a weekday afternoon it wasn’t crazy busy, though parking was at a premium. That probably keeps the crowds manageable. It definitely wasn’t overcrowded...More

If you can find a parking space, it is a wonderful scenic point and attraction. Be careful to lock your car and don't leave anything visible in the cabin as there is a high rate of car break-ins in places like this around the island.

Our private tour guide brought us to this area. Waimea Bay is located in Haleiwa on the North Shore of O'ahu. Parking is a headache as there is only a small lot. If you don't get a spot up there you will have to park...More

Great spot to swim and body surf if the surf is calm, it can get large waves and be closed from swimming. Parking can be an issue so I would get there early and bring and umbrella if you need shade.
