Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Quaint shopping area with a crowd for shave ice. Neat shops around. Had fun just window shopping or going in to see neat things. Can get crowded!

Relatively new shopping area in Haleiwa where there is a coffee shop, restaurants, fruit stand, small gift shops, shaved ice, etc. It is a neat and clean area. There are two "cautions": 1. None of the restaurants/shops have rest rooms so you have to use the "community" one out back (which is clean). 2. Parking is limited and is a premium at peak times.

Anchored by the iconic Matsumoro's Store, this shopping area has several small, "mom and pop" style stores offering, clothing, souvenirs, jewlery, coffee, groceries and more.

Nice group of stores in this center. Ice cream, surf shops, local culture places and of course tourist stuff and lots of women’s stuff. A couple of hours worth of fun for sure. We did see lots of bus groups as well.

We were going to check out the north shore waves and had to stop at this place! Love the shops, the shaved ice was yummy and the pizza and food trucks were an added bonus! A must

There are multiple shops and restaurants here. I visited the Red dirt store. They are unique T shirts and hats etc. The red dirt comes from the volcanoes throughout the Islands and they also had blue Lava clothes all these items were dyed by using the local red dirt or blue lava. I always like to buy local these items made a perfect gift for our animal and house sitters. As well as a souvenir for us. I always buy a polo shirt or golf shirt from the different places we have been.

Travelled through on the way back to Honolulu. Picked up some prints from a gallery called Polu Gallery - amazing local Hawaiian artwork! There was also a Matsumoto famous shaved ice near by. A quaint little town with many cool and vintage knick knacks to buy.

There are some cute shops with local items. AVOID MATSUMOTO's shave ice as it is NOT nearly as good as Rainbow Shave ice near Kahuku. Know that Guava shop is clothing and not guava. There are free restrooms which are kept clean.
