This is a very easy hike and you can take your kids and infants too. It also isn't dangerous. I would recommend brining shoes with traction because it can get slippery. Since I live around the corner from this trail, I go when I want...More

The Aiea Loop Trail is a decent hike. Not easy but not hard either. If you hike when the weather has been wet the difficulty goes up with the quantity of mud. Unfortunately, we were not prepared for the mud and it turned a 3-4...More

This is a beautiful hike with some amazing views of the valleys and some amazing scenery where the red soil has been washed away to look like a different planet. Be aware though, it was washed away by heavy rains. Don't start this hike if...More

I try to get on this trail once every 2 to 3 months for exercise. Challenging obstacles for the novice hiker. Hard to get lost if you stick to the trail. There are a number of off shoots that lead to more complex hiking. People...More

The Aiea Loop trail is not as well-known as the more touristy nature spots such as Manoa Falls or Waimea Valley, and as such there are some noticeable differences. The drive up is through a working-class residential neighbourhood and the trailhead has no parking fees...More
