St. Joseph's Catholic Church is a beautifully preserved building that was originally built by Father Damien. For most it would not be worth the 10+ mile drive one way but if you were on our way to Halawa it is literally right on the road...More

A small church in a beautiful location. The inside is really special and the history and information is pretty cool. We walked through the cemetery and viewed all the old tombstones and paid our respects. Nice stop for about 30 minutes.

Not a lot to see or do here other than to soak in the history that the building seems to exude. On top of that, it's just a really cute little church on a picturesque piece of land. Highly Recommended

We stopped here several times while touring around the island. There is so much history here. If only the walls could talk!

It is all about father Damien. His personal sacrifice is told in stories as he slowly shows the effects of Hansen's disease on his body. It aged him quickly and ultimately killed him.

Lots of history in this little church. Make sure to stop and do some reading, and feel some of the residual spirit. I wish there were still masses held there.

Pretty little church built by Saint Damien. Has a statue of Saint Damien and a small graveyard. Picturesque drive to it and it is very pretty and calming. Nice place to take pictures.
