This was an easy little hike and the legend behind Phallic Rock is important to the Hawaiian people! There were offerings on and around the Rock and we loved seeing a bit of history. Cool place to see!

Not a "hard" walk from the same parking lot as the Kalaupapa Overlook. The "stiff" breeze kept it comfortable. Rather amusing to see how many people have no clue what phallic means. Maybe if they renamed it Viagra rock . . .

It's worth the short walk to see this interesting rock formation. I'm not sure of the Hawaiian significance of this rock but I believe it has some history. It's unfortunate about all the modern graffiti around it though.

This is a very easy walk in a beautiful location. Very relaxing and a good one to add to the Kalaupapa Overlook.

This was a nice walk to see the real Hawaii away from the crowds. The rock wasn't that great, but the area was nice to see.

This rock was where women would go who had issues with infertility. They would sit on this rock and somehow become fertile. This is a sacred place so please respect it!

A fun rock formation to take photos. Not sure if there is a cultural significance of the rock. Be careful of footing when stepping back to take photos of a group.

The short hike to the rock is quite pleasant, a wooded area with glimpses of the ocean from the top of the cliffs. The rock itself, supposedly sacred to native Hawaiians, is oddly unprotected in any way. A couple of signs ask you to respect...More

Beautiful hike thru the Ironwood to this historic site. I recommend wearing something sturdier than flip flops because the hill is steep and covered with loose needles. Walking down is a little tricky.

A small walk through some beautiful woods to the rock. Legend has it there is another one further down, but without a local I would not risk getting lost.
