Due to massive floods and damage, I'ao Valley Park is CLOSED indefinitely. One cannot visit either the State Park or the Kepaniwai Gardens near the entrance.

Following the stream, there is a natural trail. It takes about 1hr to walk around. With clear water running sound, it looks like you are in the rain forest.

Great little hike, beautiful views, photos to remember. Got to go here when on island. Purist water brings the native Hawaiians here to drink up.

It's a great little state park, but there is absolutely no way you can compare this park with the real Yosemite... Make it your first stop in Maui, then you won't be disapointed... Otherwise, it's kind of a deception...

We happened upon this monument quite by accident, wanting to travel into Maui's western mountain to see the sites. This is the place to visit to learn more about Maui's violent past and see some amazing scenery. There's a spirituality to this place that made...More

We've been here many times but have never seen so much water flowing. Even a waterfall high up across the valley that we had never seen before. Every path and step is paved, so it's easy to see everything. The bathrooms are closed for sewer...More
