A small $5 fee per vehicle to park, this is well worth the price. Stunning gardens with beautifully maintained grounds. There is a very cool old structure on the grounds, beautiful trees and flowers. The paths are very clearly marked but not there are stairs...More

The view is great from whatever angle you choose. The main attraction is the "needle", but there is so much more! This is the valley where Kamehameha I conquered the Maui army in 1790.

Due to heavy rain, the valley was washed out. Major renovation of park and roads are underway. Probably won't open until summer 2017. Great lookout when open. Not an easy climb (steps) if you are elderly or have difficulty walking.

Not much to review, you can drive down the road to the park and take in the views but once you hit the bridge you have to turn around. Only locals can go past here. I would be nice if they could open the park...More

It would have been nice if there was a sign at the top of the hill to go down stating the park was closed, and has been for 6 months!

After the drive to the parking lot, thers are multiple stairs and paths, so this walk is for those who can walk easily with little or no assistance. Flora is beautiful as is the mountain valley views. A must-see on Maui.

Iao Valley is another must visit on Maui. A deep cleft valley above Wailuku, the valley was the last stand for the troops loyal to the last Maui King before the Hawaiian troops under Kamehameha decimated them in this very valley. You hike up to...More
