Discover, experience, and explore Hawaii's underwater world at Maui Ocean Center. Named Top 25 Best Aquariums in the U.S. by TripAdvisor, the Aquarium features over 60 exhibits with sharks, turtles, stingrays and thousands of vibrant tropical fish. The Aquarium is home to the world's largest collection of live Pacific corals, faithfully replicating thriving marine ecosystems in every exhibit. Journey from the shallow reef to the open ocean and encounter marine life found nowhere else in the world. A mix of indoor-outdoor exhibits, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactive presentations allow guests to conveniently discover Hawaii's marine life in a single day that would otherwise take a lifetime of exploration to see. Explore the diversity of Hawaii's marine world without ever getting wet in breathtaking exhibits like the 750,000-gallon Open Ocean Exhibit featuring a 54ft walkthrough tunnel. Amply named The Aquarium of Hawaii, Maui Ocean Center is dedicated to perpetuating the Hawaiian culture and the relationship that exists between the Hawaiian people and the sea. The Ocean Center is fun for all ages as well as very informative. The big tank with the tunnel is so cool. The wide variety of sea life is awesome. Everything from Sea turtles to Sharks. The week long pass makes it easy to fill in blank spots of your schedule. Especially while the weaklings nap.

There was so much to see and read about! I especially loved the ride pool where I was able to touch different types of starfish and sea cucumbers. The baby sea turtles were adorable as well. Definitely a must see if you like nerding out over sea life like I do.

What a wonderful place. The place is beautiful and the walk through aquarium is fantastic. Love it when the rays drape themselves over the passage and their gills look like smiley faces. Run, go see it!

If you would like to take a break from the sun, this would be a great choice. There are a variety of exhibits featuring many categories of sea creatures, from sponges up to sharks, green turtles, and whales. There are good write ups at each station, or you can purchase an audio aid for $3. Both are informative. There are... More

Fantastic. Very nice and frienfly staff. Swimming with sharks was awesome! The rest of the park...especially the coral reef exhibit was done very well!

Absolutely amazing place. Give yourself at least 1.5 hours. The tunnel through the gigantic pool is amazing. Not cheap but worth it.

This place is on the small side but if you don't have kids running through as fast as possible it may seem bigger to you. Very cool how the water is filtered through from the ocean! Great to

This isn't your standard "let's go look at the fish" aquarium, nor is it a place to go watch trained captives. All the fish are from local waters and many get returned to the ocean. Lots of interactive stuff to do, for adults as well as kids. Well thought out, informative and friendly staff, plenty of opportunity to sit and... More

We took our whole family here and enjoyed the aquariums. Our pass was good for a week so no need to rush can always return and possibly see something you may have missed the first time. Nice souvenir shops and restaurants as well. Can have a bite to eat and watch ships go in and out of the harbor or... More
