Discover, experience, and explore Hawaii's underwater world at Maui Ocean Center. Named Top 25 Best Aquariums in the U.S. by TripAdvisor, the Aquarium features over 60 exhibits with sharks, turtles, stingrays and thousands of vibrant tropical fish. Journey from the shallow reef to the open ocean and encounter marine life found nowhere else in the world. A mix of indoor-outdoor exhibits, behind-the-scenes tours, and interactive presentations allow guests to conveniently discover Hawaii's marine life in a single day that would otherwise take a lifetime of exploration to see. Explore the diversity of Hawaii's marine world without ever getting wet in breathtaking exhibits like the 750,000-gallon Open Ocean Exhibit featuring a 54ft walkthrough tunnel. Amply named The Aquarium of Hawaii, Maui Ocean Center is dedicated to perpetuating the Hawaiian culture and the relationship that exists between the Hawaiian people and the sea. Watching my son dive with the sharks was one of the highlights of our wonderful trip to Maui. His children and his nephews thought it was pretty cool. The staff were welcoming and informative. They are very proof of their center.Looking forward to coming attractions....More

We have driven past a few times but not bothered, we gave it a try this time and were impressed. Small and intimate with good knowledgeable staff.

I really wanted to go, so I made my husband take me. Glad we did! What a fun place to spend some time out of the sun. Lots of cool fish to see, sting rays and the coral reefs are beautiful!

The 750.000 gallon tank hosts multiple species of sharks (white tip , black tip , tiger , sandshark , reef sharks) as well as a number of stingrays. Certified divers can do a shakr experience and dive this tank !

We enjoyed ourselves but were definitely a little disappointed in the lack of real actual sea life. If it was a less expensive outing we would have expected less, but since it was quite a bit of money we hoped for more. All that said,...More

This was a nice aquarium but we thought it was over priced. It was $30 per person and it wasn't all that big. Kids seemed to like it but we've been to nicer aquariums. It's not something I would ever do again or we recommend...More

It was definitely not worth the price at all. I have been to better aquariums that cost half the general admission price, kinda dissapointing!

I checked with my 15 year old daughter who enthusiastically said yes. The only ones I remembered were the ones they were raising that we saw in the behind the scenes tour. Enjoy!

3 hours is plenty. But if course it all depends on the kids attraction to the exhibitions.
