We booked a glass blowing class for our first day in Maui. We were all excited, and looking forward to some great keepsakes. The instructor, Stephen, is knowledgeable and has been blowing glass for years. There were three of us in the class, that should have lasted an hour and a half. We each made an ornament and a vase...or... More

An old plantation house turned into a center for the visual arts. Rotating exhibits in a small gallery and a small gift shop with the products of local artisans. Kids of all ages will enjoy the magic of the Patrick Dougherty twig sculptures outside.

We were so happy to take in the Visual Arts Center on our last trip to Maui. There is a lot of interesting artists and their creations in the gift shop. We had a custom glass piece done by one of the local artists, and are very happy with it. Will gladly go back to the Center on our upcoming... More

My husband and I spent about 1 hour exploring the grounds, viewing the small kapa exhibition and browsing at the gift shop. I purchased a ceramic bowl made at the onsite pottery shop for $19, marked down from $52. Great price and great memento of our first visit to Maui!

The Hui is a treasure not to be missed. A beautiful drive on Baldwin Ave leads you to this historic place. Beautiful grounds and the art exhibits and wonderful display of local art crafts at the gift shop are worth the trip. Ongoing classes to learn many disiplines of art are available here as well.

We enjoyed our visit to this arts center very much. The exhibit on the history of the site was very interesting and the current art exhibitions were really wonderful. Exploring the grounds and the studios was awesome and the jewelry instructor took time to speak with us and tell us more about the center. What amazing studios and facilities for... More
